Group Exercise
Our Group Exercise Department offers a wide variety of classes to provide an effective and safe workout to meet the needs of a multitude of fitness levels. Please refer to the descriptions of our various classes or talk to one of our experienced instructors to help find the class that is right for you. All classes are listed below with the class level indicated in parenthesis. The descriptions can be accessed by clicking on the blue links or by scrolling down the page. | CARDIO LITE (2) (One hour class; 20-30 minute cardiovascular component; toning/sculpt exercises) This class offers a beginners approach to group exercise on the lighter side. Learn low impact and step choreography as well as proper technique for warm-up, floorwork, sculpting, and stretching exercises. An all around workout at a comfortable pace. |
| CARDIO KICKBOXING (3-4) (One hour class) This high-energy class strengthens the upper and lower body by combining punching movements with variations of kicks. Venture to improve your endurance, power, flexibility, and balance with this fun class. |
| SCULPT-STRETCH-TONE (2-4) (One hour class; no cardiovascular component) This class offers floor exercises to tone, and body sculpting to increase muscle definition and strength by incorporating the use of weights, medicine balls, BOSU, and stability balls. The class concludes with a prolonged period of stretching to increase flexibility and enhance relaxation. A wonderful class everyone should take advantage of. |
| POWER SCULPT (3-4) (One hour class; no cardiovascular component) A more advanced version of the popular Sculpt-Stretch-Tone class. Power Sculpt focuses on the same types of floor and body sculpting exercises but incorporates the use of higher repetitions, heavier weights, and more advanced athletic positions. |

STEP (2-4) (One hour class; 30 minute cardiovascular component; toning/sculpt exercises) |
| STEP PLUS (2-4) (One hour class; 40 minute cardiovascular component) Step Plus is an exhilarating hour offering step choreography on the traditional step as well as utilizing additional equipment for stepping such as the BOSU. |

| VINYASA YOGA (2-4) (One hour class, unless otherwise noted in the newsletter) This class introduces a vocabulary of yoga postures linked in a unique style of flow, Yoga Vinyasa, with emphasis on balancing breath, flow, energy, space, and stability. |

Now Offering 13 Classes per Week Incorporating Four Different Class StylesIndoor Cycling provides the perfect combination of simple athletic exercise with an environment that enables participants to make a connection between the body and mind. Quite simply, it is an exercise format that is truly open to people of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Indoor Cycling is geared towards training at your own target heart rate. Whether you are experienced in cycling or just want to try something new, any class will be right for you. All classes are one hour in length. |

ALL TERRAIN This is the most varied workout incorporating all types of riding including: flats, hills, acceleration drills, and short recovery periods. This class will work aerobically and anaerobically. |

CYCLE & SCULPT Intervals of all types of riding in addition to strength training with weights. This class combines two popular workouts into one great class. |

INTERVAL TRAINING Intervals of high intensity with low intensity recovery periods; similar to all terrain. |

CYCLE 101 Learn the basics of cycling. Emphasizes bicycle set up, terrain descriptions, and how to work in appropriate training zones. |

| FAMILY FUN (45-minute class; suggested ages 5 and up) Not offered monthly; specialty class Mom, Dad, and the kids are all invited to partake in this zany workout incorporating fun, fitness, and the family. Don’t miss this opportunity to reinforce positive fitness habits that your children can learn to model at an early age. Children are welcome to PARTICIPATE in classes. However, they cannot sit in studio during classes. |
